  • Fedramine is a non-prescription weight loss pill that was created by Internet Marketing Solutions Group, LLC to suppress appetite, boost metabolism and increase energy levels. Based on its name it is clear that this over-the-counter diet pill was designed to be used as an OTC alternative to prescription diet drugs like phentermine and also as an alternative to banned OTC weight loss supplement Ephedra.

At the time that this review was written, while you could purchase a bottle of Fedramine on the internet for around $45, an official product page did not exist. This could imply that the product has been discontinued or soon will be.

Each red and purple capsule contains the following ingredients: Citrus Aurantium, Metabromine, Green Tea, Chromium, White Willow Bark, and Guarana.

Research has found that citrus aurantium, also known as bitter orange, is an energy enhancer that works on the central nervous system. It contains a natural stimulant called synephrine. The belief is that it can help aid weight loss by burning body fat, and curbing appetite.

Metabromine is believed to have a stimulant effect without over-stimulating the nervous system, so it provides a boost of energy but is not as potent as caffeine.

Containing a group of antioxidants known as catechins as well as caffeine, green tea is believed to boost thermogenesis (burning fat as energy to produce heat) in the body and can help to boost metabolism.

Studies have found that Chromium can lower blood lipid levels and may help to produce weight loss. It may also lower insulin levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes.

White Willow Bark may help to reduce pain and inflammation. For weight loss, some believe that this herb can be beneficial because it helps to improve general feelings of wellbeing which may make it easier for people to stick with their goals and maintain motivation.

Guarana is naturally high in caffeine and can help a person feel more mentally alert and may also help to boost metabolism and lead to more fat burning when combined with physical activity. It may even suppress appetite in some people.

Unfortunately, in spite of some interesting findings, none of these ingredients have ever been sufficiently studied to solidly prove that they are effective for aiding in or causing weight loss. Even caffeine, which is a known energy booster and fat burner, won’t necessarily cause weight loss.

Furthermore, anyone who is interested in taking Fedramine should be aware that this product contains many stimulants, including 2 ingredients containing caffeine. Furthermore, it contains synephrine, which enhances the effects of caffeine (both good and bad). Therefore, while you will receive a greater energy boost, you will also be at a great risk of unpleasant side effects including insomnia, jitters, rapid heartbeat, anxiety and upset stomach. The combination of synephrine and caffeine may also lead to more serious risks including high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke. You should avoid taking this supplement too close to your bedtime.

If you are interested in taking Fedramine, you should first consult with your healthcare provider to make sure it is safe for you. Individuals under the age of 18, pregnant or nursing women and individuals with diabetes should avoid taking this product.
