  • Phentarmine tablets are a dietary supplement for weight loss

  • Claims to provide hunger control, boost energy, and rapidly enhance weight loss”

  • White and blue specked Phetermine alternative

  • Contains L-Phenylalanine, Synephrine HCL, Theobromine...
  • If you have come across Phentarmine tablets, you may have mistaken them for the prescription diet drug Phentermine due to the name and the fact that the tablets are white with blue specks. To be clear, Phentarmine is not the same as Phentermine. Instead, this product has been sneakily been marketed to make consumers believe that it is a non-prescription Phentermine alternative, which it is not.

Phentarmine Tablets May Look Like Phentermine but They’re Not the Same

Phentarmine tablets are very different than the prescription drug it is attempting to mimic. The active ingredient in Phentermine is phentermine hydrochloride, which is a potent drug. The Phentarmine ingredients on the other hand include:

    • L-Phenylalanine
    • Synephrine HCL
    • Theobromine
    • Caffeine Anhydrous
    • Copper Sulfate
    • 7-Keto (DHEA)
    • L-Carnitite
    • L-Taurine

    The Supposed Benefits of Phentarmine

The substances used in this formula are believed to aid in weight loss in many ways, such as:

    • Breaking down fat cells via thermogenesis
    • Regulating metabolism
    • Lowering stress
    • Improving circulation
    • Controlling blood sugar levels
    • Increasing energy levels

More specifically, the following is how some of the ingredients are believed to be effective for weight loss:

    • L-Phenylalanine provides appetite control
    • Synephrine HCL boosts energy and provides hunger control
    • L-Taurine is believed to be a natural mood enhancer, energy booster and supports healthy cholesterol levels
    • 7-Keto is said to help with fat burning, weight loss, balance hormones, and improve overall wellbeing

This Diet Pill is Not Guaranteed Effective or Safe

What is most concerning about Phentarmine tablets is that they contain many stimulants, including caffeine, synephrine and l-phenylalanine.

Synephrine has been used in several OTC weight loss formulas as a safer alternative to ephedra, which has long been declared a banned substance. Research initially found that synephrine, which is also known as bitter orange (among other names), had the potential to be quite dangerous to some people, especially when combined with other stimulants, particularly caffeine.

When combined with caffeine it was found to increase the risk of high blood pressure, fainting, heart attack, and stroke. That being said, it has since been found that synephrine is not necessarily as harmful as originally believed. Still, this doesn’t mean that it cannot produce unwanted side effects as it does boost the effects of caffeine, both good and bad.

Moreover, it should also be noted that due to the fact it does contain multiple stimulants, there is also a chance that this diet pill could cause adverse affects in some people, such as:

    • Jitters
    • Headache
    • Mood changes
    • Gastrointestinal upset
    • Anxiety
    • Insomnia
    • Rapid heart beat

Furthermore, it is recommended that those who have high blood pressure or who suffer from seizures or stroke should avoid this product. Others who should avoid this supplement include anyone taking anti-depressive medication or those taking medication for cardiovascular disease. In any case, it is strongly recommended that you first speak with your healthcare provider before taking Phentarmine tablets.

At the time this review was written, a single bottle of Phentarmine tablets (a 30 day supply) cost $87.00 online + $9:00 shipping and handling.

The recommended dose is two tablets per day, once in the morning on an empty stomach a half hour before breakfast, and one 30 minutes before lunch. The pills should not be taken late in the day to avoid sleep issues.

November 2019 Update – Although Phentarmine tablets are still available (and can also be purchased in a capsule form) it would likely be in your best interest to avoid buying this product. The reason is that there is very little information available about this product, there are no studies cited to prove the ingredients within the formula can be beneficial, and the product page seems focused only on selling the pills. No valuable information about this product has been given and all claims are simply unsubstantiated. You may want to consider choosing another non-prescription diet pill product from a more reputable manufacturer and one with fewer stimulants.
