Summary:

  • Phentatrim is a product for hunger control that is available over the counter

  • It claims to be a thyroid and metabolism support supplement

  • It claims to have clinically proven ingredients within its formula

  • Do not take Phentatrim before discussing your options with a doctor
  • Phentatrim is an advanced slimming  formula from Optimum Nutra Inc. This product supposedly combines three powerful ingredients to “destroy your hunger.” It claims that its formula can offer many benefits including reduced bodyweight, thyroid support, normal blood glucose, energy yielding metabolism, and macronutrient metabolism, which turns carbs, fats and proteins into additional energy.

The three primary ingredients in Phentatrim include: Konjac Root, Chromium, Iodine.

Some research suggests that konjac root(also known as glucomannan) may help to reduce hunger and cravings to help prevent overeating. Chromium is thought to help increase energy, curb hunger and boost metabolism as well as help to metabolize macronutrients (fats, carbs and proteins) into energy. Iodine is believed to support metabolism and thyroid regulation.

When this Phentatrim review was written, the official website for this dietary supplement claimed that“Phentatrim contains only clinically-proven ingredients.” This is a very bold claim, and sadly, it’s not true. While it is true that each of the active ingredients in the Phentatrim formulation are clinically studied/tested, being clinically proven is something else entirely different.

To be “proven” this would mean that the results reported about these ingredients were actual, significant and were able to pass strict regulation imposed by the United States Government. Furthermore, study results would have to be “statistically significant.” In other words, the same results should be expected to occur, regardless of who takes the product. In short, none of the ingredients in Phentatrim have been studied to this“proven” degree.

When manufacturer’s make false claims about their products, it always calls into question their integrity as well as the efficacy and safety of what they’re selling. The Phentatrim formula is neither unique nor revolutionary and there is absolutely no guarantee that it does what the manufacturer says. What’s more, there isn’t any guarantee that taking it will lead to weight loss or even help you in your efforts to shed excess pounds.

That being said, the recommended dose is to take 2 capsules 30 minutes prior to breakfast, 2 capsules 30 minutes before lunch, and 2 capsules 30 minutes before dinner, a total of 6 capsules per day. Each serving should be taken with 1 to 2 glasses of water. When this Phentatrim review was written, a single bottle + 1 free bottle (2 bottles in total), could be purchased on the official Phentatrim website for $59.00. You should first consult with your healthcare provider if you are interested in taking this product.
