PhenRx PM

PhenRx PM claims to provide appetite suppression, improved metabolism function, fat burning, and “extreme” weight loss. Since it has been developed for nighttime use, it is also supposed to provide increased HGH and enhanced REM sleep. It is manufactured by Nexgen Biolabs.

PhenRX PM Facts

At the time this PhenRX PM review was written, a bottle containing 30 capsules (a one month supply) cost $34.97 on the product page of the official Nextgen Biolabs site. The recommended dose is to take 1 capsule 30 minutes before bed.

Each of the capsules are made up of the following ingredients:

  • Green Tea Extract
  • Magnolia Bark Extract 20:1
  • Phosphatidylsrine
  • Coleus Forskholi
  • Raspberry Ketones
  • L-Theanine
  • 7-Keto DHEA
  • Gamma-aminobutyric Acid
  • Melatonin
  • Black Pepper Extract

Based on the above ingredients, it may seem strange that PhenRx PM contains green tea extract, which contains caffeine (a stimulant), as this appears to conflict with the manufacturer’s non-stimulant statement.

However, the amount of caffeine is insufficient and is unlikely to boost energy or increase the risk of stimulant-related side effects. Moreover, keep in mind that there is a difference between the terms “non-stimulant” and “stimulant-free,” the latter of which means that a product is entirely without stimulants, which the manufacturer did not claim.

Therefore, unless you are incredibly sensitive to stimulants, it is unlikely that the amount of caffeine that may be present in the green tea of this formula will affect you in any way that would disrupt your sleep.

Clinical Evidence is Lacking to Support Claims

That being said, while the manufacturer did not make any false claims regarding its product and stimulants, the official product page for PhenRx PM does not provide any studies that prove this product is actually safe or effective for weight loss or for enhancing sleep. Interestingly enough, it does go into detail regarding some of the benefits of taking the formula and how it works, but it offers zero evidence to support its statements.

For instance, the manufacturer says that PhenRX PM not only burns fat, it can curb food cravings by stabilizing insulin levels and blood sugar so that you do not wake up feeling hungry. Additionally, this product is supposed to promote deep and restful R.E.M. sleep that increases the body’s natural release of human growth hormone (HGH). This hormone blocks cortisol and can lead to even more fat burning while also preserving lead body weight.

However, the primary ingredient in PhenRX PM is green tea and while it may not have enough caffeine to cause negative side effects in the average individual, clinical evidence in regard to the health benefits it can provide the human body and its positive effects on weight loss are lacking. Further study is still required.

Too Good To Be True

Thus, there is no guarantee that this product will work as the manufacturer claims, which is disappointing. After all, if the product could actually help target fat loss on stubborn areas of the body, enhance fat burning, suppress appetite, boost thyroid levels, significantly reduce BMI, and help users fall asleep and remain in a deep sleep, this would be nothing short of amazing. Unfortunately, without sound scientific evidence such claims only make the product sound too good to be true.

Additionally, it should be noted that it is unlikely that taking a diet pill before you go to sleep will aid with added fat burning or appetite suppression while you sleep. The best nonprescription diet pills are developed to work in conjunction with a calorie-conscious diet and regular fitness appropriate exercise to help support your weight loss strategies so that you can get the most out of them. In other words, with a PM diet pill like this one, you are not likely to burn more than the normal calories you would naturally burn while you sleep.

Finally, the fact that the company has used “RX” in the name of its product is a shady practice in itself as RX refers to prescription medication, which this is clearly not.

Still, if you should decide that you would like to add a nighttime diet pill to your weight management strategy, before taking PhenRx PM (or any other PM diet pill), you should first speak with your healthcare provider. This is particularly important if you have an existing health condition, you are currently taking any other types of supplements or medications, are taking other supplements for weight loss, or are pregnant or nursing.

Fenphedra PM

Fenphedra PM is a diet pill for nighttime weight loss. It is a non-prescription formula that is caffeine-free and could help you to jump start your diet while you’re sleeping. The company behind this dietary supplement doesn’t pretend to promise users that they will obtain overnight weight loss results from taking this product. They also don’t claim that weight loss will occur without exercise.

While it is refreshing to see a company state that their weight loss support dietary supplements are not miracle pills, at the same time, the official product page for Fenphedra PM doesn’t exactly state in what ways the product does aid with weight loss. In fact, beyond the ingredients list and the directions, no other real beneficial information is provided about this PM diet pill.

This means, the only way to really know what type of potential positive effects this pill might have as a weight management aid, is to check out its ingredients.

When this Fenphedra PM review was written, each serving of the formula (2 capsules), contained the following ingredients: Vitamin C (60 mg), Vitamin D3 (800 IU), Chromium (60 mcg), Chromax (500 mcg), GABA (500 mg), Irvingia Gabonensis (300 mg), Magnolia Bark Extract (150 mg), Phellodendron Amurense Bark (150 mg), Melatonin (2.5 mg), LactoSpore (100 Million CFU).

Based on the above list, it’s clear that Fenphedra PM has been primarily formulated with appetite suppressants and herbs that aid in sleep and relaxation. That being said, the three key ingredients include:

GABA – may help to reduce blood pressure and may also play a role in energy balance. It is well-known for calming nervous activity in the brain and may function like a natural tranquilizer.

Chromax – is believed to help glucose metabolism, insulin resistance, appetite control, weight management and energy support.

Irvingia Gabonensis – may lower cholesterol and may also affect fat cells, lowering fat cell growth and boosting the breakdown of fats.

That being said, while none of these ingredients have been proven effective for weight loss, even if they were, they are not likely to do much for you while you sleep. In other words, taking Fenphedra PM is not likely to cause any additional fat burning beyond what you would naturally achieve from sleep alone. Still, the product may be beneficial as a sleep aid, due to ingredients like GABA and melatonin. Studies have linked better sleep with increased fat burning, so there is some benefit to a product such as this.

The recommended dose is to take 2 capsules with 8 to 12 ounces of water, about 1 – 2 hours before bedtime. Users are cautioned not to exceed the recommend dose and not to take this product with alcohol. They are also cautioned not to drive or operate heavy machinery after taking it.

Pregnant and nursing women should avoid taking this product. You should also speak with your doctor prior to taking this product if you are currently taking other medicine or have a known medical condition.

When this review was created, a bottle of Fenphedra PM could be purchased on the official product site for $29.95.

AtraFen PM

Do you wish you could keep burning fat and suppressing your appetite while you get a good night’s sleep? According to Nutratech, you can with their AtraFen PM formula. This dietary supplement has been designed as a stimulant-free weight management and night-time sleep aid.

In addition to making sure that you get restful sleep so you wake up feeling energized and refreshed, it also helps to regulate blood sugar and cortisol for reduced belly fat. Additionally, it can help to lower late night junk food cravings and boost metabolism without the use of stimulants, so there are no jittery feelings or trouble sleeping.

It should be noted that it is recommended for users to take AtraFen PM along with a weight loss regimen that includes a healthy diet, regular exercise and a daytime fat burner, such as one of the daytime AtraFen fat burner products. The idea behind taking both a daytime and night-time AtraFen weight loss aid is to provide 24-hour fat burning.

When this review was written, the AtraFen PM formula was composed of the following Proprietary Formula: Garcinia Cambogia, L-Theanine, Magnolia Officinalis, Phosphatidylserine, Gaba, Melatonin. Each capsule (1 serving size) contains 640 mg of the proprietary formula.

The good news is that AtraFen PM is indeed stimulant-free. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about unpleasant side effects like insomnia, jitters, anxiety, etc. Furthermore, it does contain a few ingredients that may help with sleep, such as melatonin and L-theanine.

On the flip side, although AtraFen PM contains garcnia cambogia, it is unlikely to lead to anymore fat burning nor is it likely to suppress your appetite. The reason is that garcinia cambogia has never been proven to be an effective weight loss aids. As such, this diet pill isn’t likely to help you burn off anymore fat than you naturally would as you sleep.

Regardless of any claim made about this product, the bottom line is that it has never been scientifically studied so there is no proof of its efficacy or even its safety, for that matter. Speaking of safety, simply because it doesn’t contain stimulants, this doesn’t mean it is without side effects. Headaches, dry mouth, dizziness, nausea and digestive upset are all potential adverse effects.

That said, if you are still interested in seeing if you can achieve a 24-hour fat burning experience with AtraFen PM, make sure you consult with your doctor before making this dietary supplement a regular part of your lifestyle.

A single bottle of AtraFen PM sold on Amazon for $35.00 when this review was written.
