PhenUltra

At the time that this PhenUltra review was written, very little was known about this diet pill as no official website was available. Moreover, although the product was once sold at multiple sites, as of July 2020, the product could only be found for sale on eBay, where two bottles (a two month supply) could be purchased for roughly $25.00 + shipping.

Due to the fact that there is no official website and eBay was the only option for buying PhenUltra, this is a very good indication that this diet pill has been discontinued and it won’t be long before it leaves the market.

Potential Benefits

Among the different claims that have been made about PhenUltra and the potential benefits it can provide dieters include:

  • Appetite control
  • Boosted metabolism
  • Enhanced energy
  • Improved mood

Like most nonprescription diet pills that claim to deliver these benefits, the formula works best when it is combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise. It is meant to be used to help a person with their weight management strategy to achieve a long-term goal.

If it does work and delivers on these advantages, it has the potential to make sticking to a calorie restricted diet easier and help a person power through their day, supporting their efforts to remain committed to workouts.

Naturally, the only way to know how beneficial it may be to a dieter is to have a look at its ingredients.

PhenUltra Product Information

According to the supplement facts located on the back of the bottle, PhenUltra capsules are comprised of a propriety formula that is composed of:

  • Caffeine
  • Glucuronolactone
  • Phenylethylamine HCl
  • Synephrine Caprylate
  • Nettle Leaf Extract
  • Yohimbine HCl
  • Picamilon
  • Inositol Niacinate

The suggested dosage is to take 1 capsule before breakfast with water and 1 capsule after lunch with water. It is not recommended for users to take more than 2 capsules per day. However, anyone who has an existing health condition, or who is currently taking any medication, or who is pregnant or nursing, should first speak with their doctor prior to trying PhenUltra. In fact, even if you have no medical concerns, it is still wise for you to consult your physician prior to taking this weight loss supplement, just to be on the safe side.

A Formula Comprised of Several Stimulants

As you may or may not have noticed by observing the above ingredients, PhenUltra contains multiple stimulants (caffeine, yohimbine, synephrine, phenethylamine). Although these substances are likely to help boost energy, which can temporarily increase metabolism and burn calories, they can also cause adverse effects, particularly in those who have sensitivities to stimulants. Unwanted side effects may also be increased in those who combine this product with other stimulant foods and beverages.

With that said, some of these unpleasant side effects include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Jitters
  • Headache
  • Sleeplessness
  • Mood changes
  • Anxiety

Furthermore, it should be noted that these diet pills contain synephrine, a stimulant found within bitter orange. While this herb has been studied and some research has found that it may boost metabolism in some people and may be safe to consume in appropriate amounts on its own or with caffeine, other research suggests that combining it with caffeine may increase the risk of increased blood pressure, fainting, stroke, and heart attack in some people.

The bottom line is that not enough research has been conducted on synephrine on its own or in combination with caffeine to truly determine if it is safe or a beneficial treatment for aiding with weight loss.

There is Nothing Unique About This Product

In addition, the ingredients found within PhenUltra are not unique to this diet pill. Several similar appetite suppressing and energy boosting non-prescription weight loss pills contain these ingredients. Even though some studies have been conducted on each of these substances to determine their benefits for assisting in weight loss, there is not enough medical evidence to prove that any of these ingredients are effective in helping a person lose weight. In essence, there is no guarantee that taking PhenUltra will result in weight loss.

Ultimately, this is just one of many weight management aids on the market pretending to be a nonprescription phentermine alternative. Due to this fact, and the fact that PhenUltra has likely been discontinued, it would probably be a better option to find a more reputable OTC diet pill.

AtraFen Elite

AtraFen Elite has been designed as a weight management aid by Nutratech. This diet pill is the company’s flagship weight management and fat loss supplement. It is marketed as a “Professional Strength & Thermogenic Fat Burning Amplifier.”

AtraFen Elite was supposedly formulated as a clinical strength diet pill that uses the most potent, high-quality and scientifically proven ingredients. The ingredients were carefully selected for effective, safe and “dramatic weight management”.

The ingredients in the product’s proprietary formula, when this review was written, include: Caffeine, Glucuronolactone, Phenethylamine HCl, Synephrine Caprylate, Nettle Leaf Extract, Yohimbe Extract, Inositol Niacinate. There is 450 mg of this proprietary formula in each 1 capsule serving.

Each capsule contains 450 mg of the proprietary formula and the directions are to take one capsule twice per day prior to meals. A third capsule can be taken for dieters seeking increased weight loss. No more than 3 capsules should be exceeded in a 24 hour period.

The AtraFen Elite formula is supposed to help with fat burning, appetite suppression, craving control as well as for boosting metabolism and energy. Although there is no proof that the formula can do all of this, as AtraFen Elite has never been scientifically proven effective as a weight management aid, there is a good chance that you are likely to experience more energy.

The reason is that Atrafen Elite contains multiple stimulants including caffeine, synephrine and phenethylamine. Although they may not cause measurable fat loss, they can help to boost mental focus and alertness and can help maximize fat burning when combine with physical activity (e.g. cardio workouts).

That being said, as much as energy boosting may be helpful, these stimulants can also produce some unpleasant side effects, such as insomnia, jitters, restlessness, anxiety, headache, rapid heartbeat, digestive upset, etc. Furthermore, the FDA warns that the combination of caffeine and synephrine (the natural occurring stimulant found in bitter orange/citrus aurantium), can be dangerous even for healthy individuals. The reason is that synephrine boosts the effects of caffeine, which can dramatically increase the risk of cardiovascular effects such as high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke.

You should avoid taking AtraFen Elite late in the afternoon or evening to avoid sleep disturbances. You should also consult with your healthcare provider prior to taking this dietary supplement if you are breast feeding or pregnant, have a current medical condition, or are currently taking other medications.

It would be wise to avoid ingesting other stimulants (e.g. caffeinated beverages) while taking this product to reduce the risk of unwanted side effects. When this AtraFen Elite review was written, this OTC diet pill could be purchased on Amazon and the official product website for $44.99.

Phenoral Maxx

Phenoral Maxx comes from the same manufacturer who makes Phenoral. It is marketed as a maximum strength weight loss supplement and, according to the official product website, the formula is three times stronger than the original Phenorla formula. It includes all the “fat shredding benefits” of the original product and has amplified them to provide even faster and more dramatic weight loss results. The claim is that Phenoral Maxx has both appetite suppressing and energizing benefits to help users burn stubborn fat.

The Phenoral Maxx formula contains the following ingredients: Phenylethylamine HCl, Synephrine HCl, Yohimbine HCl, Theobromine Anhydrous, N-Methyl-B-Phenylethylamine HCl, Methylsynephrine HCl. The ingredients in the Maxx version and original Phenoral are the same. The difference between the two is that the propriety blend in the Maxx product is 150 mg per 1 tablet, while the original product contains only 50 mg per tablet. However, it is also important to point out that both the Maxx and original Phernoral versions each contain the same amount of caffeine anhydrous (150 mg).

According to the official website, the key ingredient in Phenoral Maxx is Phenylethylamine. This active ingredient reportedly triggers reactions in the brain that bring about feelings of wellbeing and energy. In addition to phenylethylamine, the other ingredients are also supposed to help a person achieve their fat loss goals quicker.

For instance, theobromine is believed to assist in the stimulation of the heart and improve blood flow. Caffeine works to aid in increasing mental alertness and may also enhance exercise performance, increasing fat burning potential. Yohimbine bark is thought to help decrease abdominal fat, control stress by amplifying epinephrine and lowering cortisol levels. Methylsynephrine can boost energy and adrenalin and may help to suppress hunger.

Although it is likely that Phenoral Maxx will raise energy levels and improve mental alertness, there is no guarantee that its effects will aid in the reduction of body fat. None of the ingredients within the formula have been clinically proven effective or safe for weight loss.

Furthermore, this product contains more than one stimulant, which may increase the risk of certain negative side effects in some people, particularly those who are sensitive to caffeine. Insomnia, jitters, restlessness, rapid heartbeat, heart palpitations, digestive upset, headache and anxiety are examples of some of the side effects that may occur.

Additionally, bear in mind that Phenoral Maxx contains both caffeine and synephrine, a combination that the FDA warns could be dangerous, even for healthy individuals. The reason is synephrine can enhance the effects of caffeine, which can cause more stress on the heart. Even people who usually have normal blood pressure may experience a spike in blood pressure when taking a supplement that combines these two ingredients.

Definitely talk to your doctor before taking this product to make sure it is a safe choice for your weight loss plan.

Users are instructed to take 1 tablet in the morning and 1 after lunch. No more than 4 tablets should be taken per day.

At the time that this review was written, a single bottle of Phenoral Maxx containing 60 tablets cost $19.99 at Amazon.

Phenelean

Phenelean is marketed as a thermogenic formula that promotes appetite suppression and delivers maximum energy. It comes from Orb Pharmaceuticals. The claim is that its formula is made with strong pharmaceutical grade ingredients and that it has “great thermobolic stimulation and fat burning.”

While this sounds promising, the ad for the product, which at the time of this review could be found on the Pro Muscles Products site, also boldly states that it is a “Phentremine 375 replacement.” It’s obvious that the ad intended to refer to the prescription drug Phentermine and not its typo “Phentremine.” Otherwise, it’s being declared that Phenelean is a replacement for another OTC prescription drug alternative, which wouldn’t make much sense. The point being, if the manufacturer won’t take the time to make sure its ad is free of typos, just how much care and consideration went into making their product?

Phenelean’s supplement facts sheet reveals that each of its capsules is made up of these ingredients: Caffeine, Phenethylamine HCl, Cayenne, Green Tea, Bioperine, Grapeseed Extract, and Amp Citrate.

A brief look at the list of ingredients immediately raises a couple of red flags. For starters, this formula contains multiple and relatively powerful stimulants including caffeine, phenethylamine HCl, and Amp Citrate. These ingredients can increase the risk of adverse side effects including insomnia, jitters, headache, anxiety, etc. The risk of these side effects can be increased or amplified if users combine this product with other foods or beverages containing stimulants.

Furthermore, the verdict on the safety of Amp Citrate, which is also known as Methylpentane, is still out. The problem with this central nervous stimulant is that it is similar to DMAA (1,3-dimethylamylamine), a substance that was banned in 2012 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) because it had been linked to seizures, heart attacks, and death. Amp Citrate works by increasing heart rate, which it achieves by causing blood vessels in certain areas of the body to contract.

At the time this review was written, a one-month supply of Phenelean (60 capsules) could be purchased online for £19.98 ($31.00). The recommended dosage is to take 1 capsule in the morning with water and 1 following lunch with water. No more than 2 pills should be taken per day.

Due to the fact that Phenelean contains one very questionable ingredient and multiple stimulants, you should first speak with your healthcare provider before taking this product. While this advice should be followed by anyone, it is especially important for those who have existing health conditions or who are currently taking medications to talk with their doctor before taking any product for weight loss.
